Dr. Rachel Bedard, Psychologist
I am a licensed psychologist working in private practice. I primarily see folks with Autism, which also means folks with Anxiety, ADHD, depression, and so forth.
My clients are the best in town, and range from high school to mid 70s in age.
My clients tend to be bright, verbal, with high life/career aspiration, coupled with anxiety and self-doubt. We work from a strengths-based perspective, using your strengths to get you where you want to be. I often collaborate, so if you work with me, expect me to invite people to our team.

Being neurodiverse in an allistic or neurotypical world is not easy. While individuals on the Autism Spectrum often have exceptional talents, they often struggle with issues that impact their daily living including social skills challenges, executive functioning issues such as organizational deficits, and sometimes overwhelming anxiety. It can be exhausting, and many people do not understand daily challenges of living on the Spectrum. Dr. Hecker (with Dr. Rachel Bedard) is the editor of the forthcoming book Diverse Interventions for Clients on the Autism Spectrum: Treatment for Adolescents and Adults (Routledge Publishing), and regularly works with adolescents and adults on the spectrum.

Since 2010, I have served in different areas of the mental health field. Much of my clinical work has focused on the treatment of adolescents and young adults, although I regularly work with adults as well.
I believe therapy is about healing and growth, but it’s also about discovery. Good quality therapy takes you to a deeper understanding of how you see yourself and the world. Once that is revealed, you can really begin to heal and grow.
My mission is to walk with people through their pain, in love, and empower them to explore, discover, and create their own life change.
